Dale Rumsey

November 25, 1968 – December 20, 2019

Dale Rumsey, age 51, of Lake Jackson, Texas, passed away Friday, December 20, 2019 in Houston, Texas. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 26, 2019, at Willow Church at 200 Willow Drive in Lake Jackson, TX.

Dale was born November 25, 1968, in Lancaster, South Carolina. He was raised by his mother Margie Bramlette Rumsey in South Carolina until he and his family moved to Texas in 1979. He graduated in 1987 from Brazosport High School in Freeport, Texas.

In 1994, he met the love of his life Bronwyn Reid. They were married March 23, 1996 in Downsville, Texas, and lived in Lake Jackson, Texas for 23 years. Dale worked for a variety of companies, most recently Andon Energy Service, providing solutions and parts for petrochemical and other industries.

Welcoming and kind, Dale never missed a chance to provide acceptance, encouragement, and consideration to others. Dale always looked for opportunities to offer a helping hand. From building shelves, to working sound systems at church, to assisting with handling groceries, to taking the time to express a heart-felt compliment just when it was needed, Dale made a positive impact on the lives of his family, friends, and community. Dale enjoyed hunting, reading, acquiring knowledge, applying his considerable handiwork skills, and spending time with his family.

Dale is survived by his wife Bronwyn Reid Rumsey, his daughters Lyssa and Rebekah Rumsey, his son Sean Dale Rumsey, his future son-in-law Tate Navarro, his mother Margie Bramlette Rumsey, his brother Danny Rumsey and wife Cheryl, his sister Gwen Rumsey Wood and husband Rob, and nine nieces and nephews. Dale was preceded in death by his brother Derek Rumsey.
