Isidro Garza Jr., 71, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020 at the VA Hospital in Houston, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Isidro enlisted in the U.S. Army at the age of 17 and served 2 tours in Vietnam and other overseas posts. He had a varied military background with the CB’s the Army, Honor Guard and the military police. He was honorably discharged of engineers regular Army and received the purple heart, SPC E4.
He was born July 20, 1948 in Mission, Texas to Isidro and Elida Garza. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sons; Christopher, and Mark and youngest brother Eristeo ( Eddie) Garza.
Left to cherish his precious memories are his wife of 50 years Mary Louise (Dyer) Garza, daughters; Teena (Bill) Early of Freeport, TX, Dalia Garza of Lake Jackson, TX, sons; Michael Dyer of Blaine, TN, Chris Garza of Lake Jackson, TX, Buddy and (Luisa) Garza of Freeport, TX., and grand kids; Christopher (Amanda) Dyer, Timothy (Marley) Dyer, Billy Early, Allyson (Julian) Nieto, Anthony Garza, Alyssa Garza, Nathaniel Garza, and Andrew Garza, great grand kids; Austin, Kinsley, Aniah, Julian, Weston, and 4 more on the way.
Isidro’s siblings; Estella (Jesus) Garcia, Fela (late Lato) Diaz, Margie (Bill) Duck, Hector ( Martha) Garza, Israel (Anita) Garza, and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
A visitation will be Friday July 24, from 2-4 at Stroud Funeral Home in Clute, TX with a burial at Houston National Cemetery.
Felipe Garza will officiate the service.
