Marshall Lewis Alexander, age 85, went to be with our Lord on June 27, 2020. Lewis was born December 12, 1934 in Junction Texas to the late Marshall K. Alexander and the late Annie Lohmann. He was a 1954 graduate of Junction High School. Lewis married Deanna Daphne Davee, a 1958 graduate of Junction High School, on June 1, 1958. The couple moved to west Texas for a brief time and in 1965 made their home in Sweeny, Texas.
Lewis loved his family above all things. His and Deanna’s home was open and all who joined their family were warmly embraced and accepted. Lewis was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Deanna, his sister Delores Marcum, his father Marshall Alexander, and his mother, Annie Lohmann.
Lewis enjoyed golf and had an affection for the game. Playing golf with his family and friends brought him much joy. He instilled a similar fondness for the game in his son James and grandson Ethan, other family members, not so much. Lewis worked for Phillip 66 for 41 years and was known endearingly as “Milkdrop” to his friends and co-workers.
Lewis is survived by his sons Robert Alexander and wife Beverly, James Alexander and wife Linda, and daughter Tina Thomas. He is also survived by his grandsons Ethan Alexander (Kristin) and Zachary Thomas (Rachel) and granddaughters Taylor Thomas and Misty Vennell (Ryan), seven great grandchildren, Bowen, Felicity, Trinity, Jonah, Elijah, Gavin, and Shyanne. He is also survived by his step mother, Marie (Monte) Alexander, brother Kenneth Alexander, sister-in-law Jan Alexander, their two sons Chris and David, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
