AUGUST 29, 1974 - JULY 1, 2010Jason Lewis Cox, 35, of Oyster Creek, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2010, at his residence. He was born August 29, 1974, in Tacoma, Washington.
Jason graduated from Brazosport High School. He will be dearly missed by all his friends and family. Jason fought a lifelong and courageous battle with cerebal palsy.
He is survived by Ray and Debbie Capell of Oyster Creek; grandmother, Betty Franks of Clute; brothers, Troy Capell and wife, Sherri of Midlothian and Bryan Capell of Ft. Worth; aunts, Shirley Ralph and MC of Lake Jackson and Donna and Mike Williams of Amarillo; Vickie and Jim Ricca of Clute, Loraine and Charlie Reed of West Columbia and Sandra Reno of Lake Jackson; uncle, Ronnie and Grace Hatfield of Lake Jackson; and many other loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded by his grandparents, Fern and Henry Hatfield; and his aunt, Gwen Tester.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at Stroud Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Hinze officiating. Burial will follow at Restwood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from noon to service time Tuesday.
A special thanks to his loving caretakers, Sonia Baker, who devoted 13 years to Jason’s care, Mike Diaz and Ruby Withune. Also, the family wishes to thank Carol Jeffers, Joe Garrett and staff, American Home Patient and Frost Bank.
