Ruth Crowley Harris, 73, of Angleton, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2010. She was born December 7, 1936, in Clute, to John Henry, Jr. and Thelma Cobb Crowley.
Ruth graduated from Brazosport High School and was a lifelong resident of the area. She was loving mother, grandmother and aunt. Ruth was best known for her creativity, tenacity and strength. She has been dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her sons, Bryce Wallace and wife, Ronda of Sweeny, James Wallace and wife, Tina of Angleton; grandchildren, Cody Schuerg, Bryce Wallace, III, Lauren Wallace and Kyle Wallace; sisters, Vada Dunn, Sue Fuller, Sheila Martin and Pam Kurtz; brother, John Henry Crowley, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved very much.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Harris; her parents, John and Thelma Crowley; and sister, Joyce Monroe.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 10, 1020, at Stroud Funeral Home in Clute.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 9, 2010, at the funeral home.
