DORIS HAMILTON KNOWLES
JANUARY 19, 1918 - FEBRUARY 10, 2010Doris Hamilton Knowles passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2010. She was born in Harris County, Texas and became a longtime resident of Freeport, Texas, after her marriage to T. J. Knowles, Jr.
She is survived by her children, Norma Blair, John and Donna Knowles, Tom and Pat Knowles, Betty and Buddy Courts; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many other loving relatives and friends.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers; son-in-law, Nolan Blair; daughter-in-law, Patricia Knowles; and grandson, Jeffery Blair.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 15, 2010, at Stroud Funeral Home in Clute. Burial will be in Restwood Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Organization.
