Gary Lynn Webster, 77, peacefully passed away in his home surrounded by his loving wife and family on Saturday, November 23, 2024. He was born on May 23, 1947, in Alvin, Texas, to P.T. Webster and Ruby Dee Stockman Webster. Gary served in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 to 1970, and later worked for Dow Chemical for over 30 years.

Gary married his high school sweetheart, Jeannene Crawford, on February 15, 1969. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Gary’s unwavering support and love were a constant source of strength for Jeannene and their loved ones. He and Jeannene raised two sons, Gary Wayne and Bruce Allen, with Gary dedicating his time to coaching, fishing, and spending countless hours practicing soccer and baseball with them. Gary was particularly proud of his granddaughters, Erin, Darbi, and Hanna, and cherished every moment watching them grow. They brought endless happiness to his life, and he treasured the memories they made together.

Gary touched the lives of all he encountered with his generosity and commitment to helping others. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Gary is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Jeannene Crawford Webster; his children, Gary Wayne Webster and wife, Pamela, of Alvin, Texas; Bruce Allen Webster and wife, Dametria, of Flint, Texas; his granddaughters, Erin Nicole Webster, Darbi Lynn Webster, and Hanna Jean Webster; his sister, Jo Ann Ernst and husband, Ellwood, of Victoria, Texas; his sister-in-law, Deeanna Webster, of New Braunfels, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, P.T. Webster; his mother, Ruby Dee Stockman Webster; and his brother, Durward Randall “Randy” Webster.

The pallbearers will be Dee Webster, Jay Webster, Travis Ernst, Phil Teinert, Kenneth Sexton, and Lee Ezell.

The visitation service will be on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 11:00 to 12:30 at Stroud Funeral Home. His funeral service, with military honors, will be held, graveside, at Restwood Cemetery also on Tuesday, November 26 at 1:00 as he wished, and officiated by close family friend, Mason Paul Howard.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Choice Hospice in Gary’s memory.
