Silvestre O. Sauceda “Chore”, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, departed this life on October 13, 2025, at the age of 88 surrounded by his family.
Born on December 31, 1936, Silvestre lived a life marked by unwavering love for his family. He never met a stranger and was known for his joyful spirit. Always the life of the party, he loved spending time with friends and family, especially on game night, where his competitive but fun-loving nature shined.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan Sauceda and Felicitas Olivas Sauceda; his beloved son, Juan Alberto, whose memory he cherished deeply; and several siblings who have preceded him
He is survived by his beloved wife, Eloisa Sauceda, and his children: Silvestre Sauceda Jr (Leslie)., Norma Hernandez (Thomas), Jesse Sauceda (the late Debra), Manuel Arroyo (Teresa), Miguel Arroyo (Elva), and Ana Perez (Joe). He was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him tremendous joy and filled his life with love.
He will be remembered for his enduring spirit, great story telling, and the legacy of love he leaves behind. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Thursday October 16, 2025 at 6pm at Stroud Funeral Home, 538 Brazosport Blvd in Clute TX, with a Rosary starting at 6:30pm, led by Deacon Garza.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Marys Star of the Sea at 1019 w 6th in Freeport on Friday October 17, 2025 at 10:00am followed by a graveside service at Angleton Cemetery 328 Cemetery Rd. Angleton TX
Reception will follow at St. Mary’s Parish Hall.
