Joel Anthony Perkins, 37, of Lake Jackson, Tx, passed away on November 5th, 2025. He was born on February 15th, 1988, to Dawna Perkins and Todd Perkins.
Joel was raised in Pearland area for most of his childhood then moved to Freeport with his grandmother Henri to attend high school at Brazosport High School graduating in 2007.
Joel will always be remembered as a man with a big heart and contagious laugh. He had a passion for Baltimore Ravens, motorcycles and his family. He loved lighting up the grill on Sundays for his family and friends to enjoy the feast to be had; the more the merrier, he never met a stranger. Joel loved riding his motorcycles with his brother/s and through that he was able to help his community with families in need. Joel was a beloved son, grandson, brother and above all, Joel was an incredible father who loved teaching his kids about life, sports, and fast vehicles.
Joel is survived by his children, Rylea, Jace and Emma Perkins; his parents Dawna and Todd Perkins; his maternal grandparents Henrietta and Ruben Gonzalez as well as Mike and Lily Milstead, paternal grandparents Gene and Margo Perkins; his brother Christopher and his wife Stephanie Perkins; sister Kaylea Arnold; aunt Michelle Nichols; uncle Michael Milstead and Brian Milstead; Cousin Kimberly Milstead. He is also deeply loved by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
Joel was preceded in death by his stepfather Randy Bunch, cousins Cody Nichols, Gil Allen Co and Rene Vargas.
A visitation will be held at Stroud Funeral Home on Thursday, November 13, 2025 12:00-2:00 with a service to follow at 2:00.
