David Wayne Case, age 70, of Austin, Texas, passed away on November 27, 2025. Born in Freeport, Texas, David grew up with a deep love for the outdoors, a strong work ethic, and a devotion to the people he loved.
He was preceded in death by his wife Derre Case and his parents Harold and Margie Case.
The proud father to his children: Lindsey Good (Case), James Case, Chris Case, Sarah Faragoza (Case), and Trevor Case. David’s greatest joy was his growing family, and he cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren: Mona, Kaden, Matthew, Lloyd, Adrian, Mia, Dylan, Victoria, Angel, Jami, Ryan, Cameron and Braden. Great grandchildren; Addalyn, Adam, Delilah, Dianna, Lloyd, & Maliyah, Lorenzo, Emrys, Amora, Blake, Triston, Celena and Aries
David dedicated many years of his life to his work, retiring from Southwestern Bell and ILA Local 30. He was known for his reliability, his willingness to lend a hand, and the friendships he formed throughout his career. A true outdoorsman, David found peace in hunting and never missed an opportunity to cheer for his favorite team, the Green Bay Packers. His humor, strength, and steadfast spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
David leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and family—one that will continue to live on through the many people whose lives he touched.
Memorial service will be held on December 11, 2025 @2pm at Stroud Funeral Home in Clute, Texas.
