It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sherri Patton Stanford, age 66, of Clute, Tx, on January 14, 2026. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who was known for her quick wit and loving spirit.
Sherri worked at Dow Chemical for 20 years, then finishing up her career at the Brazoria County Engineering Department. She loved the beach, camping, relaxing in her pool, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
She leaves behind her beloved husband of 22 years, John Allen Stanford; children Stephanie Bradshaw (Mike), Bryan Thomas (Glenn Lenard); grandchildren Ashley Beck (Alan), Mason Bradshaw, and Lauren Bradshaw; stepchildren Ryan Stanford (Tracey) and Chad Stanford (Melissa); sisters Karen Low (Terry), Cindy Harbison (Wayne Crain), three beautiful nieces, as well as three nephews, and countless other loved ones.
After a very courageous battle with cancer, Sherri is now at peace with her Lord and Savior. She is preceded in death by her parents, Douglas and Ruth Ann Patton.
A visitation will be held at First Baptist Church in Lake Jackson on Thursday, January 22, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Restwood Memorial in Clute. Arrangements are with Stroud Funeral Home.
Sherri’s memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
