James Don Priour, Jr. 63 of Brazoria, TX passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, with his wife by his side. James was known to family and friends as Jimmy or JD. He was born April 28, 1962 in Victoria, TX to Margie Frazer Priour and James (Jim) Don Priour Sr.

Jimmy’s life long career path as a Pipefitter/Superintendent was with Zachry and Calpine Corporation. His career took him across many places in North America building power plants.

Jimmy met Cheryl Stine the love of his life in June 2002 and they were united in marriage on June 12, 2009.

His greatest accomplishment was earning the title of ‘Paw Paw’. Jimmy also loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting were a few of his favorite pastime. He specially love spending time camping with family, in his later years, he found enjoyment sitting on the sidelines cheering on his grandchildren’s sports.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl, daughters Amy (Kevin) Benton, Wendy Priour, Randi (Edward) Wilcox, Tiffany (Jeremy) Harper, Rachel (Skye) Wingo and Roselyne and Sospeter Wandai, grandchildren: Kiersten Allen, Travis  (Baylee) Benton, Chloe Benton, Brooke Benton, Ryan Wade Gorman II, Alexis Harper, Aiden (Cheska) Harper, Ava Harper, Emily Harper, Whitley Wingo, Weston Wingo, Kate Wilcox, Henry Wilcox, Scarlet Wilcox, Ezra Wandai and Alianna Wandai, and two great-grandchildren plus one on the way. Brothers: David (Pam) Priour, Robert (Theresa) Priour and sister, Judy (Howard) Harvell- Ross, along with numerous nieces nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceded in death, by his, mother, Margie Frazer Priour, and father, Jim Priour, and mother in law, Laura June Stine, and beloved uncles, Charles (Cubby) Frazer and Joseph (Gene) Frazer, ‘who he consider as fathers.

A celebration of life will be held at Stroud Funeral Home in Clute, TX on Saturday March 28, 2026 @ 1:00 p.m. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Brazos Healthcare and IPH Hospice for their  compassionate care.
