Emily Clodine (Cady) Bullman was born on January 29, 1938, in Port Lavaca, Texas, to Frank and Carrie Cady. She entered her heavenly home on July 21, 2026, at the age of 88.
In 1954, Emily married the love of her life, her beloved “Honey,” Jack Bley Bullman Sr. Together they built a wonderful life as partners in marriage and in the shrimping industry. As a shrimper’s wife, Emily embraced a life of hard work, perseverance, and unwavering devotion to her family. Their marriage was blessed with many years of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Emily and Jack were the proud parents of two children: Mary Frances (Bullman) Wise and her husband, Calvin Ronald Wise; and Jack Bley Bullman Jr. and his wife, Hope Elaine Bullman.
Nothing brought Emily greater joy than her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose home and heart were always open.
She is survived by her nine grandchildren: Adam Wise and wife, Kelli; Kristy Cours and husband, Robbie; Andrew Morgan and wife, Sarah; Brandon Morgan; Brittney Nelson and husband, Benjamin; Rebekah Simpson and husband, Matthew; Emily Duffee and husband, Ryan; Carrie Bullman and fiancé, Leonardo Verduzco; and Calvin Bullman and wife, Ashley.
She was the proud great-grandmother of 21 great-grandchildren: Matthew Wise; Cassidy Gartman and husband, James; Henry and Brooklyn Cours; Cynthia and Elizabeth Morgan; Caitlin and Riley Morgan; Marshall, Elly, Jack, Charlotte, Amelia, Chesley, and Mary Nelson; Addison and Cayson Duffee; Carlie and Eliana Verduzco; and Indy and Sailor Bullman.
Emily is also survived by her brothers, Frank Cady and wife, Pat, and Benny Cady and wife, Susie, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Bley Bullman Sr.; her parents, Frank and Carrie Cady; her brother, Joe Cady; her sister, Tommy Cochran; and her brother, Willard Cady.
Emily will be remembered for her steadfast love, quiet strength, generous spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family. She found her greatest happiness in the people she loved, and the legacy she leaves behind is one of faith, kindness, resilience, and unconditional love. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
There will be a Funeral service on Friday, July 24, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Stroud Funeral Home.
