Born January 20, 1947, in Gonzales, Louisiana, and passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025 in Richwood,Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Louise LeBlanc Gautreau, and his sister, Melanie Zitzmann.
He is survived by his siblings Gill Gautreau (Michele Deshotels), Gail Harris (Ron), Janet Marzloff (Phillip), Diane Gautreau; brother-in-law Gerard Zitzmann; his children, including daughter, Alicia Stain (Chaney) and two grandchildren, Mallory and Parker, son Matthew Gautreau; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also lovingly remembered by his Sweeny family- Brandon and Kim Kirtner and their children, Hannah, and Kylie, who affectionately knew him as “Gramps”.
Bobby worked for BASF and retired in Sweeny, Texas, a town he dearly loved. He was a devout Christian. He was known for his strong faith, daily walks, joyful conversations, quick humor, love of music, and artistic talent. Bobby was a gifted musician and a published artist. He was deeply thankful to the Lord for his home, his town, and the people in his life. His IPH Hospice family loved him and are grateful to have been part of his life, even for a short while. Bobby will be remembered for his faith, his artistry, his love for people, and his deep love for Sweeny, Louisiana, and the family he held close.
