Deborah Denise Smith, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and devoted servant of God, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2025, in Clute, Texas. She was 60 years old.

Deborah was born on April 24, 1964, in Warner Robbins, Georgia, to Karen L. and Albert D.

Patton. From an early age, she demonstrated a deep faith and commitment to her spiritual calling-a passion that would define her life’s work and legacy.

A licensed minister with the United Pentecostal Church International, Deborah dedicated her life to ministry and service. She served as the pastor of The Rock Church in Clute, Texas, where her leadership and compassion touched countless lives. Her influence extended far beyond her local community; as the South Texas District Prayer Coordinator, she inspired many through her unwavering dedication to prayer and intercession. Deborah’s ministry also took her across the globe as a world-traveling evangelist and missionary to Suriname. Her tireless efforts to spread hope and faith left an indelible mark on those she encountered.

Deborah’s love for her family was boundless.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Jeffrey Smith; her son, Justin A. Smith; her daughter-in-law, Breann N. Smith; and her cherished grandsons: Ellington W., Edelman W., and Eidris W. Smith. She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters, Sheryl Irvine and Lisa Bishop.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Karen L. and Albert D. Patton.

Known for her warmth and kindness, Deborah was loved and adored by many who were blessed to know her. Her legacy of faith, love, and service will continue to inspire all who carry forward the lessons she imparted May Deborah Smith’s memory bring comfort to all who knew her as they celebrate the profound impact she had on this world.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 at The Rock Church in Clute, TX. A funeral service to honor Deborah’s extraordinary life will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, From 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Church Triumphant, located at 1030 Strawberry Road in Pasadena, Texas (77506). Friends and loved ones are invited to gather in remembrance of a remarkable woman whose life was a testament to grace and devotion.
