Robert R. Aguilar Jr., 59, of Clute, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on May 8, 1966, in Port Lavaca, Texas, to the late Robert Aguilar Sr. and Margarita Obregon.
A man of many trades, Robert dedicated his life to welding, a craft he loved and took pride in. Known for his kindness, strength, and unwavering dedication to his family, Robert’s greatest joys were simple yet profound: fishing, barbecuing, watching westerns, and cherishing time with his loved ones.
He is survived by his loving wife, Leticia Montemayor Aguilar; his children: Jaime Garza Jr. and wife Elizabeth, John Michael Garza and wife Angel, Bianca Marie Aguilar-Perez and husband Alfonso, and Robert Aguilar III; and his cherished grandchildren: Dominic, Alex, Victoria, Ángel, Josué, Jasmine, Elaine, Zackariah, and Ezra.
He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, who shared in his life, laughter, and love. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Aguilar Sr. and Margarita Obregon.
Robert will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on through the love, laughter, and lessons he shared. His strength and gentle heart remain a lasting legacy for his family and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Robert’s life will be held at the Clute Community Center on Saturday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
