Betty Joyce Boatman Crisp was called home on July 15, 2024, at the age of 86.
Betty was born on June 13, 1938, in Nacogdoches, Texas to Alvin and Cecile Boatman.
She married Alva “AC” Crisp on August 24, 1956. The family moved to Clute, Texas where she spent the remainder of her life. She took pride in her years of working at J & M Wrecker Service, a family business, where she was the backbone of the company.
Betty accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and attended church regularly at Life Foursquare Church in Angleton, Texas.
Betty went by a few names to those who knew her: Mrs. Crisp, Ms. Betty, but her favorite title was Mamaw given to her by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved cruising with Annette, Sunday mornings at church followed by breakfast, camping trips to New Braunfels and she was a good luck charm at the casinos. Most mornings Betty could be found having coffee and visiting with beloved neighbors, Danny and Irma, who were a blessing to her in many ways.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband AC Crisp, mother Cecile Boatman, and father Alvin Boatman.
She is survived by her son Jeff Crisp and wife Lynn; son Mike Crisp and wife Sara; sister Bonnie Hebert and husband Al; grandchildren, Clint Crisp and wife Ashley, Cole Crisp, Colby Crisp and wife Kaley, Danielle Dutcher and husband Bubba, Chad Crisp and wife Lorren; great grandchildren Ava, Claire, Crew, Darian, Ashelyn, Kash and Kinsley; niece, Susan Ginnow and husband Jeff; great nephews Jason Ginnow and wife Sally, Chris Ginnow and wife Christine; and lifelong friend Annette Brown.
