Calvin James Swansey went to be with his lord and Savior on September 10, 2026.
He led a full life, and experienced many things and Places. If you knew him, you knew his first Love was The Lord Jesus and he made sure you knew about it. He was also very Proud to be a Member of Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, It was his heritage. Calvin aka Uncle Jamie was also a member of the Local 798 BTJ Pipe-liners Union since 9/5/2008 as a Welder. He was Retired but very Proud of his Accomplishment. He was a welder by trade since he was 17 years old. He was also an Active Participant and Sponsor/mentor of the local AA of Brazoria County.
He was Born on February 07, 1958 to Lillie and Calvin Swansey in Freeport, Texas at the old Dow Hospital.
He is Survived by his most precious possession, his dog Sadie, His only sister Renae and husband JR Brasted, His nieces and nephews Lorissa and Husband John Yothers, Tanya and husband Frankie Cortez, Leslie and husband Darrin Hooter, and Fred and Kristi Jones.
His great Nephews Zackary Doughty and wife Rachel, Jacob Doughty, Jeremiah Cortez, and Jason Yothers. His Great Nieces Sophia Cortez, Khloe and Lauren Yothers, and his Great- Great- Nephew Levi Ray Doughty (aka Little Buddie) who brought him great joy.
He was proceeded in Death by his Father Calvin Jordan Swansey, his Mother Lille Rose Swansey and his beloved brother Fredrick Wayne Harris.
Calvin was loved by many People and influenced a lot of young men. The biggest gift you could ever give him is to accept the Lord Jesus in your Heart.
Services will be at Stroud Funeral Home on Friday September 18, 2026
