Carol Elaine Doty, age 69, of Clute, Texas, was granted her angel wings on September 22, 2026, in Houston, Texas. She was born in Freeport, Texas to Robert “Bob” and Deloreth “Dell” Doty on August 12, 1957, and was a lifelong resident of Clute, Texas.
Carol graduated from Brazoswood High School in 1975. Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to her work and her family. She spent many years as an assistant manager at Service Merchandise before becoming a store manager at Palais Royal. In 2006, Carol found her passion when she began working in the fraud department at Texas Dow Employees Credit Union. After 19 dedicated years, she retired from TDECU in October 2025.
While Carol took pride in her work, her greatest joys came from the people she loved. She enjoyed spending time watching sports, listening to music, and most of all talking about her two grandchildren. Her family held a special part of her heart, and the memories she created with them will be cherished forever. Go Astros! Go Texans!
Carol is survived by her only daughter, Nicole Fulsom (Jeromy); granddaughter, Cierra Turner; grandson, Chayse Turner; grand furr babies, Oakley, Koda, & Ace; sister, Debbie Camfield (Steve); niece, Chrystalea Peterson (Jabryl); & numerous other loving family members & close friends.
Though her time on Earth has come to an end, Carol’s love will continue to live on through her daughter, grandchildren, family, and everyone who was blessed to know her. The love she shared, the laughter she brought, and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents Bob & Dell Doty, her first husband Roger “Mickey” Dunn, and her second husband Ricardo “Ricky” Spell.
A memorial service celebrating Carol’s life will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Stroud Funeral Home in Clute, Texas.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered. May she rest peacefully in the arms of angels.
