David Allen Beckham, 64, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2024 at 12:12 p.m, in his home surrounded by family, after battling colon cancer for over a year. He was the husband of 28 years to Rona Renee Beckham and father to Courtney Nicole Tucker (Reynolds), Troy Allen Beckham, and Brooke Erin Beckham.
Born on August 15th, 1959, in Shreveport, Louisiana. His family soon moved to Clute, Texas where he spent most of his upbringing. He was the son of Maggie Sue Olsen (McKelvy), brother of Sharon Bryant (Beckham). He retired from DOW Chemical after working since the age of eighteen, and then continued to work for several contracting companies.
He enjoyed fishing, football, and watching movies. He will be remembered for being an amazing, fun-loving dad, husband, uncle and friend to all he met.
He is survived by his spouse, children (spouses of children), Father-in-law (Jimmy “PaPa” Reynolds), sister and her husband (Brad Byrant), numerous beloved nieces and nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, his grandma (Pauline Zylks), and grandpa (Reuel McKelvy).
