June 29, 1968-February 11, 2024

David Lewis Kimbler passed away unexpectedly on February 11, 2024. He was born in Freeport, Texas, on June 29, 1968, to Kathy and J.W. Siler.

David was proud to be a crane operator, and he always worked hard to provide for his family. In his free time, he enjoyed his wind therapy on his Harley, as well as hunting and fishing, and he was always the life of the party with his masterful karaoke skills. He could often be found chilling on his back porch surrounded by beloved friends and family, especially his wife Stacey, who he met when he was 18 and cherished for the rest of his life. David’s grandchildren held a very special place in his heart. When David wasn’t at home, he was at his home away from home at the ranch with his hero, his father-in-law, Peanut Jacobsen.

David was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Ronnie and Charlie Kimbler, and his nephew, K.J. Jackson. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Stacey Jacobsen Kimbler; two sons, Chayce Jacobsen (Stephany Pena) and Jared Scott (Courtney Osburn); daughter, Candyce Rochen (Danielle Layden); grandchildren: Kayla, Aaliyah, Jayden, Jonah and Baby Eleanor on the way; sisters, Paula Arrington (Bennie), Dana Ross, Rhonda Kimbler, and also his loving and supporting in laws, Peanut and Janice Jacobsen, and numerous other family members who loved David and will miss him so much.

Pallbearers: Jeff Jacobsen, Doug Massey, Freddy Salinas, Bennie Arrington, Chad Petty, and Jeremy Sykes. Honorary Pallbearers: Peanut Jacobsen, Chester Ward, Tony Franco, George Stewart, Jared Scott and Chayce Jacobsen.

David wants us all to remember that life is a journey. He firmly believed that you don’t want to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways totally worn out and shouting “Holy sh–, what a ride.”

Services entrusted to Stroud Funeral Home: 538 Brazosport Boulevard North, Clute, Texas. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 1 to 2 pm, with the service at 2 pm. Burial will follow the service at Restwood Memorial Park.

Following the burial, there will be a gathering for the Celebration of Life for David Kimbler at Kourtney & Travis Armstrongs home at 3083 County Road 630, Brazoria, TX 77422
