Georgia Castillo Trevino left this world peacefully on Saturday, September 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and friends at her home in Freeport, Texas.

Georgia was born on February 17, 1941, in Rosenberg, Texas, to Jesse and Carmen Castillo.  She grew up in Rosenberg and Hungerford, Texas, before moving to Freeport.

Georgia married her husband, Epigmenio G. Trevino Jr., on August 17, 1964. They were married for 47 years until his passing in July 2012.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandma whose greatest joy was spending time with her family to offer guidance, love and support through her faith in God.

Georgia worked for Brazosport ISD for 13 years and after retirement she loved spending time with her family and in her faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Epigmenio G. Trevino Jr.; her parents, Jesse and Carmen Castillo; brother, David Herberto Castillo; and sister, Mary Jane Steele.

Georgia’s legacy will live on through her children, Irma B. Beard (Josh), Bobby C. Martindale, Shirley J. Silgero, Barbara A. Alviar (David), Tim T. Trevino (Melissa), and Alexis C. Lawrence (Johnny); grandchildren are Alex Herrera, Andy Herrera (Sheryl), Christina Herrera (Kristina), Christopher Trevino, Brianna Martindale (Hamilton), DeeAnn Silgero (Joey), Bryce Martindale, Michael Alviar (Dahlia), Michael Danford (Erin), Darrien Mexicano (Danny), Tyler Danford (Brooke), Jessica Trevino (Cody), John Anthony Soria; 27 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; her furry companion, Dally and many cherished nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Alex Herrera, Andy Herrera, Christina Herrera, Bryce Martindale, Michael Alviar, and John Silgero. Honorary pallbearers will be David Alviar, Johnny Lawrence, Cody Gartman, Joey Olivares, Danny Mexicano, Tyler Danford, Hamilton Lopez, Christopher Trevino, Ray Castillo and Dorrie Aparicio.

Funeral Arrangements will be with Stroud Funeral Home in Clute, Texas.

We would like to thank Choice Health at Home hospice and Virginia Stevens for the compassionate and loving care of our mother.

A visitation will be Friday, October 3, 2025 6:00-8:00. A Funeral service will be Saturday October 4, 2025 at 10:00 at Stroud Funeral Home. Interment will be at Angleton Cemetery.
