September 17, 1963-October 16, 2026

Loyd Dwain White, born September 17, 1963, in Freeport, Texas, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, friendship, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

The son of Josephine McLeod and Hubie White, Loyd was the fourth of their children. He spent his entire life in Brazoria County and called Lake Jackson, Texas, home. A proud member of the “Clute Boys” and a graduate of Brazoswood High School’s Class of 1982, Loyd formed lifelong friendships during his school years that remained an important part of his life.

Loyd was a hardworking man through and through. As the general manager of Williams Diesel for more than 40 years, he dedicated much of his life to his work. He did not simply work to make a living; he genuinely loved what he did. His strong work ethic, dedication, and integrity reflected the man he was and the values he instilled in his children.

When he was not working, Loyd could often be found doing what he loved most: enjoying the outdoors. An avid hunter and fisherman, he treasured his time at the Farm (the family’s ranch) and on the water, where countless memories were made.

Above all else, Loyd loved his family. His children and grandchildren were his greatest pride and joy, and he loved them more than life itself. He taught his family the importance of hard work and integrity—not only through his words, but through the way he lived each day. Those lessons, along with his love, laughter, and example, will continue to guide his family for generations to come.

Loyd is survived by his loving wife, Diana White; his son, Josh White (Cyndi); his daughter, Julia Florence (Russell); his stepson, LB Lybbert (Taylor); and his stepson, Nick Lybbert (Judith).

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Makayla & Cameron Florence; Brylee & CJ Calvin; LiaBelle & Mia Jay Lybbert; and Lukas Bennett.

Loyd is survived by his mother, Josephine Senykrik; his sister, Melinda Westbrook; his brothers, Ed White & Clint White; his lifelong best friends, Keith Head (Lynn) and Joel Ward (Monika); as well as his step-siblings, numerous nieces & nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Loyd was preceded in death by his father, Hubie “Buddy” White; his stepfather, Joe Senykrik; and his fathers-in-law and mothers-in-law, Jorge & Lucrecia Gamboa and Billy & Phyllis McCoy.

Loyd accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1986. In 2008, during his Emmaus Walk, he experienced a profound change in his life and deepened his commitment to his faith.

Though Loyd’s passing was unexpected, the impact he made on the lives of others will never be forgotten. His family and friends will carry forward his lessons of hard work and integrity, his love of the outdoors, his devotion to family, and the laughter that made him so uniquely Loyd.

The stories, jokes, nicknames, and memories will live on. His place at the Farm, on the water in his secret fishing hole, in the hearts of his family, and among the friends who shared his journey can never truly be filled.

Loyd will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Until we meet again.

Loyd’s Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. with a gathering in the church hall to follow.
