Maria de Jesus Cerda, 84, of Freeport passed away, Wednesday, January 30, 2019
She was born on December 10, 1934 to her parents, Reyes Hernandez and Constancia Alamillo.
Maria de Jesus is survived by her husband, Jose Cerda, daughters; Leticia Velasco, Aida Cerda Prazak, Diana Cerda Rahm and husband Michael, and Elizabeth Cerda, one sister, Guadalupe Ferrer, brothers; Reyes Hernandez, and Manuel Hernandez, 16 grandchildren, and 13 great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews raised as her children; Robert Mendoza, Frank Mendoza, Gloria Barrientez, and Olivia Sanchez.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Reyes Hernandez and Constancia Alamillo, sisters; Esperanza Rodriguez, and Alicia Morones, and a niece, Irma Contreras.
There will be a visitation on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Freeport. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. also at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
