Max Johnson III went to be with our Lord and Savior on September 25, 2026.
Max grew up as the only boy among four sisters. He was a loving son, brother, father, and friend who brought laughter and joy wherever he went. Max had a big personality and a heart for making memories with the people he loved. He was known for being the life of the party and for making sure there was never a dull moment when he was around.
Max enjoyed fishing, hosting crawfish boils, playing poker, barbecuing, and spending time with family and friends. Whether gathered around a crawfish pot, sitting around a poker table, or enjoying a day outdoors, Max knew how to have a good time and make those around him feel welcome and at home.
Max leaves behind many who will cherish his memory, including his children, Aiden Johnson, Ervin Johnson, and Aaron Johnson; his mother, Justine Mikel, and stepfather, Carl Mikel Jr; his sisters, Ashlynn Faulkner (John-Eric), Heather Thorn (Don), Sarah Johnson Hill (Matthew), and Megan Gerrick (Bryan); many nieces and nephews; and his fiancée Sara Dobson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Max Johnson Jr; grandfather, Max Johnson; grandfather, Alonzo Bellamy; and grandmother, Marilyn Bellamy.
Max will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His laughter, his love for a good time, and the memories he created with those around him will remain in their hearts forever.
Visitation will be at Stroud Funeral Home on Friday, October 2, 2026 from 5:00 – 6:00 with a funeral service following at 6:00.
