Phillip Riley Morris, 92, of Lake Jackson, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 2, 2024.
Phil was born in Houston on July 3, 1932, to the late Cecil and Sally Morris. After graduating from Galena Park High School, he joined the Navy and was a Marine corpsman. While still in the Navy, he was introduced by friends to Beth Harper. They were married six months later and remained married until Phil’s death three days shy of their 70th wedding anniversary.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jean von Bieberstein.
Phil is survived by his loving wife, Beth Morris; his children, Angela Morris, Mark Morris (Cindy) and Scott Morris; his grandchildren, Lisa Dyer (Dustin), Andrew Morris (Kali) and Riley Morris; four wonderful great-grandchildren; and two beloved nieces, Lee Williams and Len von Bieberstein (Joanie Watson).
Graveside services will be Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at South Park Cemetery in Pearland, Texas. A reception will immediately follow.
