Robert William Ashworth Sr. was born on November 16, 1943 in Kingsville, TX to Robert E Lee Ashworth and Marie Ashworth. He left this earthly home, at the age of 77 to be with his Lord and Savior on April 05, 2021, with his loving wife Rhona by his side.
Robert served in the U.S. Army until 1969. He married his wife Rhona H. Kelley on October 28, 1966, in Brazoria, Texas. They had 4 children during their marriage. Robert William Ashworth Jr, born on November 24, 1967 in Pasadena, TX. James Paul Ashworth Sr., born on June 8, 1969 in Clute, TX. Darrell Dwayne Ashworth, born on September 28, 1970 in Baton Rouge, LA. Cheryl Ann Ashworth, born on May 2, 1977 in Galveston, Tx.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents Robert E Lee and Marie Ashworth, his sister Joyce Ashworth Parker, his brother Roger Ashworth, and his son Darrell Ashworth.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Rhona Ashworth. Sons; Robert W, Ashworth Jr. and wife Delores of Huffman and James Paul Ashworth Sr. and wife Lani of Atascocita. Daughter; Cheryl Ashworth Rye and husband David of Huffman. Sister-in-law; Vicki Carlie of Brazoria. Niece; Susie Crocker of Clute. Grandchildren; James Paul Ashworth Jr., Trey William Ashworth, Paige Nichole Ashworth, Samantha Rye, Katie Rye, Faith Renee Ashworth, Brooke’lynn Ann Pfaff, and Carter Ryan Ashworth. Great Grand Children; Grace Ashworth and Hope Ashworth. He also leaves behind a host of other nieces, nephews and friends who loved and cared for him dearly.
A special mention to Dale Vela and Dee Fields, along with the staff at Oak Village Healthcare for the love and care that was bestowed upon Robert over the last several years.
Pallbearers will be Trey Ashworth, Jayden Bluejacket, Ricky Orchard, Billy Chandler, Kenjo Kelley Jr., and Joseph Smith.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert W. Ashworth Jr., James Paul Ashworth Sr. and Carter Ryan Ashworth.
