In Loving Memory of Skarlett Rose Patton.

It is with broken hearts and deep sorrow that we share the passing of our beautiful Skarlett Rose Patton, age 11, of Angleton, Texas. Skarlett unexpectedly passed away on May 14, 2026, though she will continue to be endlessly loved by her family. Born on April 6, 2015, to Levi Patton and Zoey Phillips, Skarlett brought joy, laughter, and light into the lives of everyone who knew her.

Skarlett was truly a bright light in a dark world. She had a beautiful smile, a big personality, and a heart that loved deeply. She was a charismatic, kind-hearted, unselfish young girl who never met a stranger. A true social butterfly, Skarlett loved making people laugh and was known for her playful spirit and sense of humor. She could also be a bit of a drama queen at times – one of the many things those who loved her will forever smile about.

Skarlett loved Jesus and enjoyed going to church with her grandma. She found joy in nature, adored animals, loved dancing, and enjoyed playing volleyball and basketball. She also loved getting her nails done, spending time with family, and eating her favorite foods – Takis, steak, and pickles. Her favorite colors were green and purple, reflecting the bright and vibrant aura she carried.

Among the people Skarlett loved most was her baby sister, Phoenix (NeNe). Their bond was filled with sisterly fights, laughter, and a closeness that only sisters share. The love between them was special and will forever be cherished.

Family and friends meant everything to Skarlett. She was surrounded by a large family who loved her fiercely and whose lives will never be the same without her presence. She brought joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments to those blessed enough to know her.

Left to cherish her memory, her loving parents, Levi and Kindle Patton (father and stepmother), and Zoey Phillips (mother); her younger sister, Phoenix Patton; her grandparents, Tricia Speers Patton, Leah Phillips, and Michael and Julia Anderson; her step-grandparents, Alisha Stark and Jay Grimes, and John and Susie Gamble; her great-grandmother, Claudia Speers (GG); her great-grandparents, Richard Espinoza and Shirley Porcheddu, and Helen and Larry Phillips; her uncles, Jason and Macy Willoughby, Justin and Elizabeth Willoughby, Garrett and Hannah Patton, Talan Anderson, and Cade Gamble; her aunt, Skylar Phillips; her cousins, Jasmine, MacKenzie, Libby, Addison, and Louie Willoughby, Azael Alvarado, Loriana Stone, Isla and Asher Askins, and Juniper and James Phillips; along with many other great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Maynard Speers; great-uncle and aunt, James and Michelle Bergeron; and great-aunt Evoire Espinoza.

A private family ceremony will be held for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her upcoming benefit.

A benefit to honor Skarlett will be held on July 12th at Clute Municipal Park. Please see the benefit page on Facebook titled “Skarlett Patton Benefit”.

A public candlelight vigil to celebrate Skarlett’s life will be held on Saturday, May 30th at 7:30 p.m. at Clute Park, where family, friends, and all who loved her are invited to come together, share memories, and honor her beautiful life.

Though we will never understand why she was taken so soon, we know her love remains with us. Skarlett will forever be missed, forever loved, and forever in our hearts.

“Always be a crazy, amazing star” – Skarlett Rose Patton
